Fencing is fun & fulfilling, and we strive to provide a safe space for your experience.

• Each fencer must have a current enrollment or day pass on file to use club facilities or equipment.
• Each fencer will be dressed appropriately for the athletic activity: fencing uniform or t-shirt, sweat pants & sneakers.
• Any fencer with hair long enough to tie back must do so.
• All fencers will bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Fencing is a melee sport with weapons used intentionally in a controlled environment.

• Coaches and instructors will have final say on any/all safety issue or discussion.
• "Halt!" will stop all action immediately, on the strip or in practice space.
• Blade tips will point down or covered in hand, when not fencing or drilling.
• Masks will be on during any blade work within distance.
• Weapons will be used only to hit fencers with proper protective gear. 
• Equipment (club or personal) will be respected, never thrown, bent or banged.
• Never point a weapon at any one without a mask.
• Horseplay with weapons will not be tolerated.
