Founded in 2020, Greensboro Fencing Academy brings classes, competitions, clinics, and camps for modern Olympic fencing to the Piedmont! Let us introduce you to a sport widely enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities, often spanning a lifetime of activity and advancement. Whether experienced on piste or complete novice, GFA invites you to help us build and grow our fencing community. Get out with the family for some great exercise and a lesson in strategy and tactics. It's the best game of tag ever invented!
Foil, epee, or sabre, our USFCA certified coaches will help you create a foundation of proper form and technique in your weapon of choice. With an emphasis on recreation, our goal is to make fencing accessible and fun while facilitating competitive aspirations on the local level and beyond.
GFA, an Official USA Fencing Premium Club, is enrolling elementary, middle, & high schoolers, all ages children to senior citizens for introductory, beginner, and intermediate group instruction as well as private lessons. All class enrollees automatically enjoy the benefits of membership i.e. open bout privileges, access to gear/weapons, and use of scoring equipment when available. We also offer monthly open-bout-only memberships and drop-in rates.

Our space is a dedicated facility for the growing fencing community and a resource to offer & support new programs that meet the needs of families here in Greensboro and our surrounding areas.
Conveniently located at 2001 East Wendover Avenue, classes will meet weekday evenings and midday on weekends. Look through our current schedule for one that is right for you.
